SEASONAL POSITIONS

InMotionPro is contracted with several high schools in Kern Country and is responsible for capturing portraits of hundreds of high school seniors each year.  The time allowed to capture these portraits is just a few short months.  Each summer, we hire and train staff to help us achieve our goal of capturing memorable senior portraits, produce high quality products and exceed our clients expectations.  These positions are part-time hours and are seasonal only.  Positions we're looking to fill require availability from 2pm to 7pm weekdays.

SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER POSITION

As a senior photographer your job will be to capture portraits of high school seniors to the standards set out by InMotionPro. Images will be need to be captured both inside and outside of our studio in addition to on-location, meaning the client will select an area in Bakersfield, within an 8 mile radius of the studio, to be photographed in.  Multiple variations of cropping, poses & outfit changes will be required for each photoshoot and will need to be completed in a specific time allotted.  Our senior photographers will not only capture stunning and unique images of each senior but will deliver a professional and friendly attitude each and every time.  When taking on a senior photography position at InMotionPro studio you’ll learn how to pose your subject regardless of their different body shapes and sizes.  You’ll learn how to use professional Canon cameras and lenses.  You’ll learn about lighting a subject and how to work with clients to make them feel comfortable in front of the camera.  You’ll also learn how to work under pressure and how to overcome stress caused by even the most demanding clients.  Photography may not be for everyone but for those eager to learn the skill, are passionate about with people and enjoy capturing once in a lifetime moments, it can be a very rewarding experience that can lead to a career path.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Capture portraits of both male and female subjects
• Interact with the client to get the best out of each individual
• Capture photos to InMotionPro standards
• Meet deadlines and timeframes set by InMotionPro
• Have a positive and friendly attitude with the client and your team members
• Ability to work under stressful circumstances
• Be willing to take directions from team members
• Be willing to take Virtual appointments
• Provide solutions to customers looking to purchase products
• Other related responsibilities as needed

PHOTO EDITOR POSITION

This position requires the editor to work exclusively with Apple computers, iPhones & iPads to produce outstanding images in a timely manner that are consistent with the InMotionPro standard.  You’ll have the opportunity to learn and use creative editing products such as Adobe CameraRaw, Adobe Photoshop and a variety of other plugins and software to help streamline the editing workflow.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with multiple photo editing programs
• Work with multiple 3rd party suppliers and product solutions companies.
• Use and maintain computer and printer equipment
• Meet deadlines and timeframes
• Print, produce and package products
• Communicate with clients regarding their order
• Work under stressful circumstances
• Other related responsibilities as needed

RECEPTIONIST POSITION

Our receptionist will be in charge of many daily tasks such as, but not limited to, answering phones, checking and replying to emails & voicemails, scheduling appointments, showing clients backdrops we carry, recommending and suggesting areas and locations to be photographed in, discuss senior outfit choices with clients, take payments, and answering any other questions the clients have regarding products, services or scheduling.  This position will require an individual who can convey happiness or cheerfulness over the phone as well as in person.  The receptionist will need to have a clear understanding of the overall workflow of InMotionPro and the roles each team member plays in order to properly communicate related tasks with the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Answer, Return and make phone calls
• Schedule in-person and virtual appointments
• Process payments and send invoices
• File away paperwork
• Keep forms stocked
• Communicate and help clients with questions they have regarding their session and order
• Recommend locations, backdrops and outfits to clients
• Receive and Send emails
• Be able to work under stressful conditions
• Other related responsibilities as needed
